Delhi Assembly Election 2015 – Arvind and Bedi took divine blessings before Delhi polls
On Friday eve (the evening just before Delhi polls), two main candidates for Delhi’s CM post – Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi – took divine blessings to win Delhi Election.
Kiran Bedi, the BJP’s chief minister candidate for Delhi, prayed at a gurdwara in Krishna Nagar that is her constituency. She was seen rolling out ‘rotis’ for community kitchen. Talking to media reporters, she told, “I am not doing it for the first time. I used to visit gurdwaras in Amritsar when I was a child. I used to go to church in my school. I believe in all religions. I learnt the ‘sarva dharma’ during my childhood. It’s all up to God now”.
After the tiring electoral campaign, the AAP’s convener Arvind Kejriwal started his day with yoga at his residence, went to a salon to get his hair cut and later visited several religious places like Birla Temple, Balmiki Temple, Hanuman Temple at Baba Khadag Singh Marg, Gurdwara Rakabganj, St Francis Church in his New Delhi constituency and a mosque in R K Puram. Kejriwal said, “Will go to all temples and gurdwaras in my constituency today. I pray to God that let truth triumph and let the common man win”.
Kiran Bedi expressed her religious tolerance in her words while Arvind Kejriwal showed it by visiting several religious places.
