BJP can Announced first list today, 25 MPs from UP can cut tickets
The third meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee is expected to be held today to finalize the list of candidates for Lok Sabha elections. It is believed that after the meeting, the BJP will release the first list. In the meantime, sources said that the central leadership in Uttar Pradesh could announce the names of the shocking. There are indications that tickets for 20-25 existing MPs will be deducted in UP.
Even for Chhattisgarh, general secretary Anil Jain had said that such a decision should be taken. During the meeting, Jain had given a statement that 10 existing MPs in Chhag would not get the ticket. He had also said that the central leadership has stamped on the new faces of all 11 seats in Chhag.
The meeting lasted till 1pm on Tuesday night, Decision on candidates not found
The meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee was held on Tuesday till 1 a.m. till late night. In the meeting chaired by Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari and Thavarchand Gehlot were also present. The Election Committee discussed the candidates of Lok Sabha seats in 12 states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha.
Congress nominated 146 names
On the other hand, the Congress has also released the sixth list. It has decided the names of candidates in Kerala and 2 in Maharashtra. So far the Congress has finished the nomination on 146 seats.
