Banda Loksabha Seat 2019: Candidates for 2019 LS poll, past results, all updates
Chitrakoot, In Banda-Chitrakut Lok Sabha seat, eight candidates including Congress, BJP and SP-BSP combine are in the fray. The decision of their fate is going to be 16 lakh 92 thousand 478 voters on Monday, May 6. Of these nine lakh 21 thousand 7 & 7 men, 7 lakh 70 thousand 672 women and 51 third gender voters. 1924 polling booths have been created for voting in the Lok Sabha constituency. In it, 1085 seats in three assembly seats in Banda district, 8 and 9 polling booths on two assembly seats in Chitrakoot district.
This parliamentary seat includes Banda Sadar, Baberu, Naraini and Chitrakoot Sadar and Manikpur assembly constituencies of Chitrakoot district. Three lakh 09 thousand 227 voters in Banda Sadar, 3 lakhs in Baberu and Rs.1 thousand and 46, 3 lakh 41 thousand 784 in Naraini, 3 lakh 69 thousand 587 voters in Chitrakoot Sadar and 3 lakhs and 8 thousand 5 and 4 voters in Manikpur. Balkumar Patel on the Congress ticket on the parliamentary seat, RK Singh Patel from the BJP ticket, SP-BSP combine Shyama Charan Gupta is in the fray for the elections. There is a possibility of interesting competition among the three.
Congress candidate Balkumar Patel
A few days before leaving the Samajwadi Party and contesting on Congress ticket, Bal Kumar Patel started his political innings with BSP. Subsequently, in 2009, he was elected MP from Mirzapur seat on SP ticket. In 2014, he contested from Banda-Chitrakoot Lok Sabha on SP ticket but lost. In 2019, when the ticket from the SP did not get the ticket, the Congress has come down to the ground.
BJP candidate RK Singh Patel
BJP candidate RK Singh Patel started the politics of student politics. Become a legislator for the first time by contesting from BSP and also a minister in the BSP government. In 2009, MP from Banda-Chitrakoot was elected MP on SP ticket. In 2017, the BJP flag was elected MLA from Thima and Manikpur assembly constituency. For 2019, the party has bet on her on the parliamentary seat.
Coalition candidate Shyama Charan Gupta
SP-BSP combine is Shyama Charan Gupta Industrialist. On the ticket of SP, in 1999, Banda contested on Chitrakoot seat and was in second place. In 2004, again contested the elections and won the victory and reached Parliament. After this, in the year 2014, the BJP ticket was contested by Prayagraj and elected MP. Now in 2019, he has been contesting as SP candidate from Banda and Chadrakoot constituency.
Candidates are native to Chitrakoot
The three main candidates, who have made a fortune in the election season on the Banda Chitrakoot parliamentary seat, are from Chitrakoot. Congress candidate Bal Kumar Patel’s village Manakpur block is Devkali. BJP’s RK Singh Patel is a resident of Balapur Khalsa of Karvi block. Coalition candidate Shyama Charan Gupta is a resident of Manikpur. One interesting thing about the three candidates is that he has been an MP from the Samajwadi Party.
